Our ProductsAlthough the emphasis on craft skills is the focus point of most Community Service Organisations when it comes to skills training, 1000 Hills Community Helpers attempts to work past the issue of teaching disadvantaged communities to sew a dress, or to bead a place mat. Our aim is to recognise people’s talents, then raise them up to where they belong. Our goal is community upliftment where people are shown the value and importance of their being in this world. By doing this, we help people advance up the technological skills ladder. Just imagine, today a leather necklace, tomorrow an Internationally recognised fashion design. In a nutshell, the aim of our skills development training is job creation where communities can integrate into a society where they will not only gain meaningful employment, but where they would reap the fruits of their labour. All items are genuinely hand made incorporating mediums such as beads, wire, cutlery, leather, and fabric. We strive as best possible to ensure the use of materials that are environmentally safe as well as bio-degradable. 1000 Hills Community Helpers is an organisation that exists for the benefit of the local communities within the Inchanga and surrounding areas of the KwaZulu Natal Midlands.
